General Description



Measurement at a centroid angle of 124° of scattering at 650nm and 880nm, the native format of counts is converted into m-1 sr-1 using the scale factor derived during calibration. Additional transformation provides the total backscatter coefficient at each wavelength in m-1 is derived using coefficients as per Zhang et al. (2009), and additional corrections, when applicable. Measurement of fluorescent dissolved organic matter (FDOM) using an excitation of 370nm and an emission of 460nm, raw counts are converted into ppb FDOM using the scale factor derived during calibration.
